However I am quite a bit pickier. These are not certified diamonds, and that accounts for the differences here. I bought a pair of ~1 ctw diamond earrings for my gf this past Christmas that were also not certified, but they were locally graded by my jeweler. The clear diamonds I bought were actually slightly less than .5 carats each (.47 I believe). The blue diamonds I received are noticeably smaller than the others when held next to each other or placed in the same ear. They have not been removed from their settings to be weighed or graded by my local jeweler, but the difference is obvious to the naked eye. I would say these are closer to .75 ctw than 1 ctw IMHO. If there is going to be a variance in tcw of the diamonds (and of course there will be some difference in selection), there should be a minimum listed instead of what is probably a maximum. The color is super dark, and the generous setting shown in the picture is not the quality that I received. There were enough poor reviews that I should have listened to. Don't make the same mistake that I did. :( |
